The last footstool was on display in the David Mellor flagship store in Sloane Square, London, for London Design week 2014.
The frame was stamped 1947, always great when a chair has a date on. Passed down through the family and missing it's seat cushion, the foam had disintergrated, so the chair required completely stripping.
